Key Features of Enterprise Dynamics®

Enterprise Dynamics® combines ease of use with advanced functionality to support both simple and highly complex simulations.

Drag-and-Drop Modeling

Enterprise Dynamics® uses a “drag and drop” modeling approach, where users select predefined objects (called “atoms”) from a library and drop them into a 2D or 3D environment. This intuitive method allows users to quickly create virtual models.

Enterprise Dynamics® uses a “drag and drop” modeling approach, where users select predefined objects (called “atoms”) from a library and drop them into a 2D or 3D environment. This intuitive method allows users to quickly create virtual models.

Enterprise Dynamics® provides powerful 2D and 3D visualization tools to create virtual models of real-world systems. Whether in clear, two-dimensional layouts or detailed, immersive 3D environments, these visualizations make it easier to analyze processes, identify bottlenecks, test new strategies, and optimize performance. From supply chains to manufacturing systems, you gain the insights needed to understand and improve complex operations.

Enterprise Dynamics® features extensive object libraries filled with pre-built, specialized modeling components called atoms. These drag-and-drop objects make it easy to build dynamic simulations of complex systems. With industry-specific libraries for logistics, manufacturing, and supply chains, users can accurately represent and analyze processes—while retaining the flexibility to create or customize objects to fit unique scenarios.

Enterprise Dynamics® gives you the flexibility to create and modify simulation objects—the core building blocks of digital twins. Beyond the extensive pre-built object libraries, this feature allows users to develop custom components and applications tailored to specific processes. Whether in manufacturing, logistics, or transportation, custom object development ensures that even the most unique and complex systems can be accurately modeled and analyzed.

Enterprise Dynamics® integrates seamlessly with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to create a digital twin of your supply chain. This integration enables data-driven decision-making by allowing you to analyze KPIs, test new operational strategies, and identify bottlenecks in a risk-free virtual environment. The result: improved efficiency, reduced costs, and greater scalability for your operations.

Enterprise Dynamics® makes it easy to create and compare multiple scenarios within a digital twin of your system. By simulating different strategies—such as layout changes, added capacity, or process adjustments—you can analyze their impact and directly compare results. This enables data-driven decision-making to optimize performance, reduce costs, and minimize risks in complex environments.

Enterprise Dynamics® allows you to fine-tune your simulations by assigning parameters that define how objects, processes, and entities behave. By adjusting these values, you can test different scenarios, explore system variations, and optimize operations. This flexibility makes it easier to understand system behavior and identify the most effective strategies for improvement.

Enterprise Dynamics® makes it easy to extract and save simulation output data for further analysis. With tools like the ExcelActiveX atom, results can be written directly into Excel spreadsheets, supporting business case development, performance tracking, and process optimization. This ensures simulation outcomes translate into clear, actionable insights.

Questions

Enterprise Dynamics has been developed with model scaling in mind. Being able to develop a simulation model in which each individual item is considered allows you to go beyond the scope and size other simulation tools can handle. This also means that smaller simulation models also run a lot faster.

Equally, the ability to create or edit simulation objects yourself and the ability to completely customize the user-interface allows Enterprise Dynamics to be used in many fields or domains and be tailored to support the expert, but also non-simulation experts alike.

Your first simulation model can be built in under a minute. Of course, it takes more time if you need to simulate, for example, a large warehouse in full detail. However, using the capabilities to use a CAD drawing or any other source of input as a basis to generate (portions of) your model can save you valuable time.

You do not need to be a software developer to work with Enterprise Dynamics. The available simulation objects allow you to use specific user-interfaces tailored to the simulation objects in which you can change parameters in an easy way.

When creating new simulation objects, the coding behind them is easy-to-understand and someone without programming experience should be able to easily master it.

You can use both. Enterprise Dynamics supports many standards to load information for external systems like, for example, a database. It is also possible to set up real-time connections via, for example, TCP/IP and get life data.
