About Us
Simulation Software for a Safer and More Sustainable World
Since 1989, InControl has been developing market-leading simulation software that enables organizations to look into the future; and make better, data-driven decisions. What started as a consultancy firm has grown into a global leader in simulation software. Our advanced software helps clients design, analyze, and optimize complex systems – from material handling and supply chains to railroads and crowd movements.
Our Mission
Through advanced simulation software, we enable building and managing complex, critical, physical processes to be more efficient and more robust – making operations and infrastructures safer and more sustainable.
Our Story
InControl was founded in the Netherlands and introduced simulation as a tool to support operational decision-making. Early collaborations with major organizations such as ProRail (Dutch Railways) and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport laid the foundation for long-term partnerships. Today, our market leading software serves customers all over the world with their investment decisions and operational efficiencies.
Quality simulation software
As complexity increased, so did the need for more advanced simulation capabilities. This led to InControl developing its own simulation software which has led to the launch of our flagship products:
- Enterprise Dynamics® – a powerful discrete event simulation platform focusing on the flow of goods.
- Pedestrian Dynamics® – a leading agent-based simulation tool focusing on the flow of people.
These validated products are trusted and used by organizations worldwide in sectors such as material handling, (intra)logistics, supply chains, transportation networks, stadiums and crowded events.
Groundbreaking Innovation
InControl always kept investing in innovation and launched a breakthrough technology:
- ERS® – Enterprise Resource Simulator: the next generation simulation platform.
ERS is a simulation engine used for applications requiring high performance simulation. With ERS bigger models can be run faster due to the ability to multithreading (running one model over many cores without breaking validity and synchronization). ERS enables multi-formalisms and combining many submodels into one model.
For more Users
We wanted to also bring this ability to reliably look into the future to operational users that are experts in their fields but without the need to have a deep understanding of simulation technology. For that InControl developed two applications that are easy to use by operational end-users, but come with the reliability and holistic view generated by the underlying digital twin:
- ShowFlow®: A smart supply chain, digital twin-based application that integrates real time data and enables DC and Supply Chain managers to predict and plan more reliably and get a truly holistic overview of their operations in one application.
- TruVenue®: A digital twin-based application to enhance venue operations and fan experience.
