Evacuations

We expect buildings to be safe. However this is easier said than done!

In case of older buildings these buildings were not always designed with an easy evacuation in mind. On the other hand how do you determine if a new building will be safe?

With PLATO you can model any kind of building and use the layout of that building, including utilities, to simulate evacuations. By simulating evacuation plans upfront designers can take the results into account and design better building.

PLATO includes the use of:

  • Tourniquet's (high and low)
  • Toilets
  • Bars
  • Coin sale machines
  • Emergency exits
  • Elevators
  • Stairs

The availability of these elements within PLATO allow the designer the test the effect on safety without real-life tests avoiding costly mistakes.
