Enterprise Dynamics 8 Released The shipment of Enterprise Dynamics 8 has been completed and new and existing customers with a valid maintenance contract on April 1, 2009 have receive the latest release.

You will notice it from the start. Enterprise Dynamics 8 has a modern XP/Vista look-and-feel and opens with a welcome and example wizard to get you started right away when you are new to our product.

Existing users will notice the new Atom Editor, the Library Tree and the new Run Controller. The Atom Editor is redesigned completely to fit the wishes of our users, the Run Controller is expanded with new features to control your simulation runs more accurately and easier, and the available simulation objects (atoms) have been restructured and expanded in functionality.

One other major new improvement is our 3D engine. Not only have we been able to provide you with functionality to increase the 3D animation speed, but we also added the possibility to model in 3D.

The ED Logistics Suite, the flagship of the ED product portfolio, will also release many additional atoms to assist our users in building their simulation models. New atoms like an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS), a Transfer Car, and an Advanced Vertical Articulated Robot (AVAR) are 3 of the many new atoms. These objects give you the opportunity to develop simulation models with more predefined and task-specific strategies. Motions and specific object behavior can be modelled in detail. These new atoms also come with a stunning 3D representation making your simulation models realistic and self-explaining.

The developments on these new atoms have led to restructure the library to fit international approved standards of classification as much as possible. This allows the user the find available atoms in an intuitive way and set excellent preconditions to keep on developing new atoms in order to continuously enhance the functionality and the user friendliness of Enterprise Dynamics.
