Brisbane International Airport, Australia |
|
July 2008 the Brisbane Airport Corporation Pty Limited announced the acceptance of the Incontrol proposal for the delivery of a Terminal Modeling Tool. In October Incontrol has started with the development of 4 simulation models of the Brisbane International & Domestic Airport Terminals; 2 of the present situation and 2 of the future terminal layouts.
The models will provide valuable and important insights into effective problem management, capacity planning and effective modeling the flow of passengers inside the Terminal throughout the various processes.
Brisbane International Airport is undergoing major infrastructural projects in order to meet the future passenger-growth expected. To improve and support the decision making process Brisbane has asked for the expertise of Incontrol’s simulation engineers and will use Samanta PaxSim software.

Prepared for the Future with the new SIMBAX System
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is one of the largest European airport hubs. Currently, it handles over 48 million passengers annually of which about 40% is transferring. Within the airport infrastructure the baggage handling system is an important part. The system transports, screens and sorts the bags of all passengers. The available time is limited: all bags have to be ready 10-15 minutes before flights are departing. For the next years, the airport foresees a further increase in traffic. To accommodate this traffic, and to deal with new, more strict, EU baggage screening regulation, the baggage handling system needs to be expanded. The goal is to handle 70 million bags per year in 2018.
