Workshop Logistic Simulation
For everyone who wants to gain a general insight into the basic principles of logistic simulation. Users of simulation software different from Enterprise Dynamics can also join the course, because the main focus is not on the software being used. Model examples, however, will be given using ED Developer Logistics.
During the workshop we will have a look at the general concepts of logistic simulation. Topics of the workshop include:
- What is computer simulation?
- Computer generated random numbers
- Prerequisites of a simulation study
- When not to simulate
- Pros and cons of simulation
- The core of simulation
- Queueing theory
- General outline of a simulation study
- Basic statistics and probability distributions
- Analysis of results
- Verification and validation
Every participant gets an instruction guide with the slides, the cases and (afterwards) the solutions and models.
