Workshop Logistic Simulation

For whom?

For everyone who wants to gain a general insight into the basic principles of logistic simulation. Users of simulation software different from Enterprise Dynamics can also join the course, because the main focus is not on the software being used. Model examples, however, will be given using ED Developer Logistics.

Course outline

During the workshop we will have a look at the general concepts of logistic simulation. Topics of the workshop include:

  • What is computer simulation?
  • Computer generated random numbers
  • Prerequisites of a simulation study
  • When not to simulate
  • Pros and cons of simulation
  • The core of simulation
  • Queueing theory
  • General outline of a simulation study
  • Basic statistics and probability distributions
  • Analysis of results
  • Verification and validation
  • Applications

Every participant gets an instruction guide with the slides, the cases and (afterwards) the solutions and models.

Location

The Logistic Simulation Workshop is given at INCONTROL's headquarters in the Netherlands, at the Papendorpseweg 77 in Utrecht. Please refer to our contact page for a route description. For the possibility of a different location, please contact us or see the In-house training.

Course fees

The course fee is EURO 600,- excluding VAT per person including lunch and breaks. After you submit your registration form you will receive an invoice. Training fees need to be paid prior to the training and are only refunded when cancelled no later than two weeks before the start of the training.

Dates & Hours

Participants meet from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm with one-hour lunch break. Lunch and breaks are included in course fee. For training dates see the training home page.

Meals and attire

A full lunch will be served all days of the course. All other meals are the attendee's responsibility. If you have special requirements, please contact us prior to the course. Dress is casual.

Registration
