Volvo Cars Corporation is a renowned car manufacturer with production and assembly locations in Sweden and Belgium. Its Belgian assembly plant, Volvo Cars Gent, has selected Enterprise Dynamics as their standard simulation package to analyze their production and logistical processes.

With the help of simulation, Volvo Cars Gent aims to achieve the following:

• Results forecasting: predicting the system performance.
• Testing of alternatives: development of alternatives during process design and comparison of alternatives for decision support
• What-if analysis: measuring the effects of changing conditions on the system

At the production sites of Volvo Cars Gent, INCONTROL assist to help roll out the ED simulation software. This will consist of training staff in using Enterprise Dynamics, building models for the main three production steps (welding factory, paint factory and assembly factory), setting up a library with easy to use building blocks for these and future models.
