INCONTROL takes 2nd place Hessian Cooperation Prize
Thursday, 08 December 2011
Together with our partners INCONTROL developed the "AssistSim"-Project (HA-Projekt-Nr. 185/09-15) which supports by conceptualization and automatic runs of simulation experiments commonly found in the automotive industry and receives an award.
It took only 18 months of work with the cooperation partners INCONTROL Enterprise Dynamics GmbH (Wiesbaden), SimPlan AG in Maintal, UST Environmental Sensor Technology GmbH (Geschwenda), the Munich VDA working group on flow simulation, the University of Kassel and the Goethe-University of Frankfurt am Main and ultimately led the team under 28 combatants successfully to the second place.
The project was supported by EU funds and Hessian state funds. In this project, utility functions were developed for programs that support simulation studies in the automotive industry. AssistSim can also be practiced in all companies which are using simulation.
Using a database the assistance system allocates general questions into specific study objectives. After the review and modifications by the user, AssistSim creates proposals for schedules and then carries out simulation experiments independently. Besides the structured presentation of the results, the assistance system automatically completes the list of previous experiments. It simulates critical areas with greater detail and finer step size - and takes account of the statistical reliability.
The development partners are now able to offer software components that accompany simulation projects. This in turn leads to greater efficiency in the use of simulation technologies.
